This was an experiment at the time to see if they could make a disc in more durable
plastic for the rigorous play that the freestyle players were giving flying discs
at the time. These first couple of colors that came out in the original Wham-O
G Series molds were incredible for durability and play. The HDX still exists today
and changes colors annually. The orange was the first or at least at the same
time as the original blue colored HDX models. This is the original 80 mold.
