Event Details

Welcome to the 2017 40th Grateful Disc Spring Frisbee Festival! This years event will be a slight departure from recent years and a bit more of a throwback event. The event was more of an "overall" Frisbee tournament in the first years. Competition in a variety of different disc disciplines with the winner having the best overall combined score. It was also a bit more of a festival celebration than a heady competition. So we wanted to go back to those roots and have a fun event. The event will not be PDGA sanctioned.

Saturday will be held at Sundance Trail disc golf course in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado. This will be a great chance to experience the new layout at Sundance. It's fantastic! It will be just one round of fun disc golf with a lot prizes. CTP's, Case For an Ace, Longest Drive, A Mini Hole, and whatever else we can come up with. The round will be played using Innova's Option format. We'll be using a modified format since there will be several twists in the round.  After the round we'll have lunch and players can throw "accuracy". A classic overall event using non-beveled edge discs.

Sunday will start with a round of doubles at Hughes, then we'll head south for a festive day at Spring Canyon Park in SouthWest Fort Collins. We'll throw distance, MTA (maximum time aloft) and play some DDC (double disc court).

All entries will receive lunch at Sundance and trophies and prizes will be awarded to all divisions based on division size. There will be no cash payout for pro divisions, and entry fees will be the same across all skill and age levels.
