This disc is in excellent condition with a some ink on the underside of the disc rim. The disc is a solid partially translucent pink color with a elegant metallic silver stock hot-stamp. This disc may have been thrown but it's hard to tell. Still lots of great flights remaining. Clearly this has a very "star like" plastic look to it but is still labeled as a Champion disc. Likely this was a transition period when some experimentation with plastic was going on. The mix of plastics creats an intersting effect on this disc. Very cool. Some storage wear is on all of these discs because until now they had been stored without any protection but generally not very much. We'll give our best estimate of condition and ink on each disc. As well we will try to display at least three photos of each so you can take a look.
Around 2001 Innova was starting to experiment with what became known as "Candy Plastic". in their 2002 Catalog they should a whole line of Champion Edition "CE" models that would later be coveted as some of the most collectible of all golf discs. Many of these later listings are the generation immediately following the "CE" generation of Champion plastic. Clearly some experimentation was going on as they transitioned into also offering Star Plastic. Sometimes inconsitent, there were always some real gems in these discs.
Information about current Innova's Champion plastic
In Gerneral the flight characteristics of CE Plastic tended to be more stable than that of the Champion plastic that followed.
